Marketplace Transformation Movement

The ‘Buzz’ Word in Christendom Today is “Marketplace Transformation” or “Marketplace Ministry”. It’s so ‘Hot’ that Churches and Christian Organizations are jumping into this band-wagon. What really is “Marketplace Ministry”? How do we go about doing “Marketplace Ministry”? How does “Marketplace Transformation” takes place?

The Marketplace Transformation Movement is initiated by the Holy Spirit … The Holy Spirit is @ Work in the Marketplace. The ‘Wind’ of the Spirit is blowing in the Marketplace and the ‘Wise’ will hoist their sails to catch the ‘Wind’ and move with the Spirit. The ‘Foolish’ will do their ‘own things’ but the ‘Wise’ will be in alignment with what the Holy Spirit is doing.

Discern Where Is The Blessings

The Marketplace Transformation Movement is not the initiative of the Institutional Church. It is not a “TOP Down”  Initiative but it is a “Bottom Up” Initiative. God is raising His Marketplace Leaders from the ranks and file on the Ground Level. The Holy Spirit is raising His Daniels, His Josephs, His Esthers to positions of leadership to Transform the Nations (Marketplace) It takes the Marketplace People to Transform the Marketplace.

The Marketplace Transformation Movement is not about having Church activities and Church Programs imposed in the Marketplace. But these things are happening … Marketplace prayer groups are formed, Marketplace Lunch Time Talks are organized, Marketplace study groups springs up. Some Churches also get into the act, they even have a Marketplace Ministry Department. Do they know what they are doing? Christians are good at coming up with activities … but is this what the Holy Spirit is blessing?

I know that all these activities are not what the Holy Spirit is seeking to work through. My mind keep asking, “What is the Holy Spirit ‘doing’ in this Movement”?  ” What is the Mind of the Holy Spirit in this Marketplace Movement”? I was wrestling with God for His Answer ! ( I do not want to go round and round in circle with activities but no productivity ) I have the ‘light’ but did not have the words to frame this ‘light’.

Finally, the word of the Lord came to me:
Marketplace Transformation Will Take Place When We Shift Our Focus – We must shift from “Church” Focus to “Marketplace” Focus. Instead of spending most of our time on Church Activities, we must now spend most of our time on Work / Business Activities. The Holy Spirit is using our Work / Business Platform to Transform the Marketplace!  “My Business Is My Ministry”. I will explain and establish my ‘Position’, as I continue writing on my Blog.

For this to happen, we must have  Major Paradigm Shifts in our Beliefs concerning :
1. The Church
2. Work / Business
3. Worship
4. Ministry

The purpose of my Blog is to gather together Kingdom Minded Believers to have meaningful discussion on how to “Seek First His Kingdom” and how to “Establish His Kingdom” on earth. Let’s share our thoughts with a heart of love and a spirit of learning. This should not be a place of heated debate on “Who Is Right” & “Who is Wrong”. We are all in this journey of learning from the Holy Spirit. We seek to be Righteous not Religious.

  • God Loves The World

    God Loves The World

“God SOooo Love the World” … this truth have not sink deep into my head and into my heart. Because if it did, I would not be thinking of the “World” as I am thinking.

I do not love the world
    I reject the world
I am separating myself from the world
    I am condemning the world
    I am judging the world
I am calling “Fire” from heaven to consume the world
I am fearful of being contaminated by the world
I am looking at the world with a pair of Self Righteous eyes

I am still looking at the World with Contempt instead of Compassion. This is not how God sees the World. God came down to the World. He lives with the World and He died for the World.
Need to have New Lens to see the World

  • Does Christian Have A Sinful Nature – My View

This Is A Recent Discussion I Had With A Christian Brother

From your Post, I again assume that your position is that the Stronghold of sin and the root of sin is still in us …even though we are the New Creation in Christ. That is to say, the Redemptive Work of Christ on the Cross did not dealt with the power of sin because this power of sin is still in us.

The reason why I stress so much on the Redemptive Work of Christ on the Cross is because this is the very foundation of our Christian Faith. Right Beliefs will result in Right Living; but if our Belief is Wrong then the way we live will not be Right.

Most of Apostle Paul’s letters can be divide under two sections. The first section is Theology and the second section is Practice. Under the first section, Paul talked about the Redemptive Work of Christ on the Cross. In the book of Romans, Paul took great pain, to teach and to explain about the Gospel of Christ. Sin came through one Man, Adam and thus all have sinned. But through the 2nd Adam Christ, we are made righteous. Our righteousness is in Christ, it is what Christ has done on the Cross that we are made righteous. Having established what Christ has done on the Cross and who we are in Christ, Paul went on to talk about how this “New Creation” should be living. As Christians, we became People of the Kingdom and we should be living a life that is different from that of the World. We should no longer be living according to the “Flesh” but according to the Spirit.

You have asked about the role of the Holy Spirit … I believe one of the chief role of the Holy Spirit is to reveal Christ to us. The Holy Spirit is revealing to us “The Redemptive Work of Christ On The Cross”, He is revealing to us “Our Rich Inheritance In Christ”, He is revealing to us “the Amazing Grace & the Abundant Love of Christ”… Christ is the Answer to all our Questions.

Now, let me answer your question on “the flesh”, on “Sinful Nature” – Rom 8, Gal 5. You have made an assumption that the “Flesh” is the “Sinful Nature”. Where do you find in Scripture that says the “Flesh” is the “Sinful Nature” ? In fact Rom 8:1 says “There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the “Flesh”, but according to the Spirit”. Those who are “In Christ” do not walk according to the “Flesh” but according to the Spirit. To walk according to the “Flesh” is to walk in the ways of the World. Paul told the Christians in Rome, “Don’t live according to the Flesh because they are “In Christ”, They are to live in the Spirit.

vs 8 ” So then, those who are in the “Flesh” cannot please God”
vs 9 ” But you are not in the “Flesh” but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His”. So as believers of Christ, are we living in the “Flesh” or are we living in the Spirit ? When we read further, Romans 8 tells us of our rich inheritance in Christ, when we walk according to the Spirit and not according to the “Flesh”.

Now to answer your other question, “Do I sin?” Before I give you the answer, I like to correct another assumption that Christians have – Christian ‘Sin’ because they still have the “Sinful Nature” in them. I would like to challenge this assumption. The Redemptive Work of Christ on the Cross has dealt with the Sinful Nature.

The Sinful Nature is not the Flesh. The Sinful Nature is what we have when we are “In Adam”. “In Adam” , we inherited the Sinful Nature. When we are “In Adam”, we sin because of the power of this Sinful Nature … we have no control. But the work of Christ on the Cross not only dealt with the Penalty of Sin but the Power of Sin. For those who believes in Christ, we are being transferred from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of Light. We moved from being “In Adam” to being “In Christ”. When we are “In Adam”, we have the sinful nature, but when we are “In Christ”, the sinful nature does not exist.

The next question you asked is “if Christian do not have the sinful nature, Do Christian sin?” “Do I sin?”
We must remember that even as Christians, we are still in the world and we are still in the flesh. We still possess Free Will. There are choices to be made.
Christian sin because they chose to sin not because they have to sin. (Christian no longer have a sinful nature). Do I sin? Yes … but I am sinning less and less. I am living according to the Spirit and not living according to the flesh. The Holy Spirit is revealing to me more and more of God’s Grace and Favor. He is revealing to me the Finished Work of Christ and my rich inheritance in Christ. I am ‘Resting’ in the Finished Work of Christ. I am not “Striving” to be holy because I am holy in Christ; I am made “Righteous” in Christ. I am no longer Sin Conscious because I am Christ Focus. I do not fight “For” Victory but “From” Victory. Victory has already been won by Christ at the Cross.

You said, “You are suppose to have total and complete victory over the power of sin”. The Answer is : “It is not me but it is Christ – the Finished Work Of Christ On The Cross”. “For sin shall not have dominion over you because you are not under Law but under Grace”. In Christ we have total and complete victory over the power of sin … the Adamic Nature no longer exist when we are “In Christ”.

Our Beliefs must be derived from Scripture and not use Scripture to support our ideas and beliefs.
The Holy Spirit will guide us into all Truths and knowing the Truths will set us free. Signing off. Shalom.

  • 7 Mountains Mandate

A Mandate & Strategy To Transform The Marketplace

God gave two leaders, Loren Cunningham (Founder of YWAM) and Bill Bright (Campus Crusade) a similar message that they were to tell each other when they meet.

This similar message which God gave to them separately is this (paraphrased) :
To transform the Nations and to Impact the World, Christians need to “Influence” the 7 Mind-Molders that shape Society and Culture. These 7 Mind-molders or Spheres that shape the Destiny of Nations are – Religions, Education, Family, Arts & Entertainment, Media, Government , Business.

Christians are to be at the Top of these Spheres so as to exert Godly Values in the Society that we lives in … sad to say, over the years Christians have abdicated their responsibilities and retreated to the Religious Mountain. The decay of Societies is seen because of Christian’s failure to be the ‘Salt’ of the earth.

Lance Wallnau, is one of the Marketplace Leader who popularize and championed this 7 Mountains Mandate. The Challenge is for Kingdom Believers to re-establish God’s Reign and God’s Rule over these 7 Spheres of Influence that shapes our Society and our Nation.

  • This Is Our God …

A Sharing I Received Today  … I Believe It Will Inspire You

Heavy Rains reminds us of changes in Life
Never ask for a lighter rain, just pray to God for a better umbrella – That is the attitude !

Life is not about finding the right person
    but creating the right relationship.
It’s not how we care in the beginning,
but how much we care till the very end.

Some people always throw stones in your path.
It depends on what you make of them; a Wall or a Bridge?
    – Remember you are the Architect of your Life.

Search for a good heart, but don’t search for a beautiful face,
coz beautiful things are not always good, but good things are always beautiful.

It’s not important to hold all the good cards in Life
but it’s important how well you play with the cards you hold.

Often when we lose all hope and think this is the end,
remember God and pray, it’s just a bend, not the end.

Have faith and a successful Life
One of the basic difference between God and Human is …
    God gives, gives and forgives.
But Human gets, gets and forgets.
    Be Thankful in Life

If you think it is the alarm clock that woke you up this morning,
try putting it beside a dead body and you will realize that it is the Grace of God that woke you up.

It is by the Grace of God that we are alive today!

    Be Still

  • Will The True “Church” Please Stand Out! Stand Up!

Will The True “Church” Please Stand Out! Stand Up!

Need to get back to the right understanding of the “Church”. The “Church” is the Body of Christ. The “Church” takes its direction from its Head which is Christ. The “Institutional Church” is make up of different denominations, different doctrines and dogmas. They are not “One” but pulls in different directions.

The “Church” is suppose to be the Community of God’s People – caring for one another, supporting each other. The strong helping the weak; the rich supporting the poor.

The Church is suppose to be a Family – A Family whom God is our Father. What have become of this Family? – Disunited? Disjointed? Disillusioned?

The modern “Institutional Church” is more like a Corporation operated by hard rules and regulations instead of empathy and compassion. The “Institutional Church” is taken over by the Religious Spirit rather than the Spirit of Christ! The “Law” governs the Church instead of “Love”.

The World is not disinterested in Christ but they are disinterested in the “Church” that represents Christ here on earth … so, will the true “Church”, please “Stand Out” and “Stand Up”. Shine as Light of the World!

    Big Family

The Church Is A ‘Family’ Not A ‘Corporation’

  • The Gospel Of The Kingdom

    The Gospel Of The Kingdom

Matt 4:23 “And Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people”

Jesus came preaching and demonstrating the Gospel of the Kingdom. Many of His Teachings were Parables about the Kingdom. When Jesus died on the Cross, He inaugurated the Kingdom on earth. When a person accepts Christ into his life, he becomes a child of the Kingdom … he is being transferred from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of Light. As people of the Kingdom, we are to live as Light of the world and Salt of the Earth. Our Destiny is to advance and establish His Kingdom on earth. (Matt 6:33) We are to establish His Reign and His Rule in the sphere of influence that He has placed us in – in the offices that we work; in the factory that we are in; in hospitals, in army camps …etc.

It is only about a year or two ago that the Holy Spirit enlightens me about the Gospel of the Kingdom. Yes, Salvation of Human Kind is part of the Gospel of the Kingdom … but the “Kingdom” is more than the salvation of souls. God is not interested in Populating Heaven but He is seeking for True Worshipers … those who loves Him with all their hearts, with all their souls, with all their minds and with all their strength. (we can only love God this way because we first experience His love for us)

“For the Son of Man come to seek and save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10) For a long time, I have the understanding that this means Jesus came to save lost souls. But if we ask the question, “What was lost, when Adam sinned?” The answer is not just the ‘souls’ of men but the Whole Paradise Was Lost. The Rule of God on Earth was lost! The earth deteriorate and decay after the Fall of Adam. Our Health and Wealth was lost. Our Dominion over the earth was lost. The Redemption of Christ at the Cross is not just the redemption of souls … it is the redemption of the whole creation of God! “Thy Kingdom Come …”, is to bring restoration of God’s reign and God’s rule here on earth. Redemption is completed at the Cross, now we are to reclaim back “That which was Lost” from Satan. As Kingdom People, we are to advance God’s rule and reign over the earth – We are to reclaim back our Health, our Wealth, our Authority on this earth. Hallelujah! We are more than conquerors in Christ!
