What Is Prayer?
Prayer is not coming to God at a specific time with our long list of personal request and request for others. Prayer is not begging God to give us what we want. Prayer is not trying to change God’s reluctance. Prayer is not ASKING, ASKING, ASKING … God is good, He knows what is best for us.we don’t need to remind Him in our Prayers! “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things” Rom 8:32
We need to change our perception of Prayer. Prayer is not “Requesting” God for things … this is “why” the World Prays; but we are not like the World.
Prayer is “Conversation” with God; Prayer is “Talking” to God; Prayer is “Pouring Out Our Heart” to Him. I pray all the time … I pray when I am walking, I pray when I am working, I pray when I am lying on my bed. I pray because I love ‘Talking’ to Him. I love having a “Conversation” with my King and my King loves having a “Conversation” with me.
Prayer is not a Spiritual Task that we perform at certain time of the day. We can pray at any given time, at any given moment. Pray without ceasing. God enjoys listening to our prayers.
